The ladles come in Classic Cedar or Yakisugi Cedar. They have no coatings or finishes. The Yakisugi Cedar is a Japanese wood preservation method using fire to burn the outside of the ladle, creating a water-resistant exterior.
Each ladle comes with a copper cup insert that can be used to protect the ladle from excessive water damage. Please make sure that you do not leave your ladle in water when you are not using it.
